Sweet House Public Tour & Champagne Toast

In celebration of America’s 250 anniversary, the Sweet House will open its doors on Sunday, October 18, at 3:00 p.m. with a 3:15 p.m. guided tour of this historic home and a champagne toast to America. The house was built in the early 1860’s and has been a tangible part of the city’s history. Guests are privileged to revisit earlier times and view the architecture, furnishings and fine arts in the house. They will learn about the two men who lived in the house and their significant contributions to the early development and culture of the city. The Sweet House is a celebration of the past to be enjoyed by today’s community.
